Driving in Eastern Europe?
From August next year I'm planning a road trip across Eastern Europe. I intend to start in Hungary, and drive through / visit, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Albania, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia and Bulgaria. Since these countries are close not I think it take long to travel from one place to another. I intend to drive by some countries and only stay a few nights in others. My plan is to rent a car in Budapest (where I'm flying). What kind of insurance I need to buy and what should I do to get the car to the security of other countries? How will be safe on the roads in the country through my driving and how hard it is to fill the gas out of town? I've read some of these countries have better roads than others, potholes, but can be dangerous. Please give me your comments and any proposed information can be provided. Thank you. And also, How much gas in the countries on the list? Is there a cheaper method of transportation?
Sorry, I do not like the answer I plan to kill his stone dead. No car rental company with a reputation that will take one of their vehicles in Albania, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Serbia. Also increase the rental rates by 40% in Bosnia and Bulgaria and 20% for Slovenia, Croatia. As insurance premiums would be prohibitive, not only that, but no company Insurance offers auto insurance for Serbia has to buy insurance at the border.
