Internship Info:
The Montenegro Times and our sister newspapers (The Kosov@
Post and The Macedonian) offer four-month writing and photography internships
for aspiring journalists and photographers with relevant education and
experience. Interns have the opportunity to learn the ropes in a newsroom, put
their skills to practical application and live in a foreign country.
The writing internship is a full-time, working position.
This intern writes feature stories and news stories each week.
The photo internship is also a full-time position, but with
a flexible schedule. The photo intern should have his or her own digital
camera.
Both internships pay a stipend of 200 euros per month.
Internship dates and application deadlines are as follows:
- Spring Internship (January through April) – Apply by Sept.
20
- Summer Internship (May through August) – Apply by Feb. 20
- Fall Internship (September through December) – Apply by June
20
To apply, candidates must send the following items to our
office by the specified deadline:
- A cover letter stating which internship you are applying
for and explaining why you want to work for The Montenegro Times, The Kosov@
Post or The Macedonian
- A resume outlining your journalism/photography experience
and skills/training
- At least three writing clips (no more than five) or three
feature photos (no landscapes)
- Additional information or items are accepted, but please
do not go overboard.
