Milić: election act needs change Print E-mail
Amendments to legislation governing Montenegrin elections are necessary, says Srdjan Milić, President of the country’s Socialist People’s Party (SNP). Milić made the statement following an April 16 meeting with the Head of the OSCE Mission in Podgorica, Paraschiva Badescu.
The pair discussed the present political situation in Montenegro in general, before focusing on the recently concluded Presidential election campaign, as well as the municipal elections in Tivat and Herceg Novi.

The SNP leader gave the OSCE representative a synopsis of messages and conclusions from participants of a recent conference on post-Kosovo-independence Balkan politics.
Milić - who opposes Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence and calls it illegal - told Badescu that international law must be respected.
Milić revealed the SNP’s agenda - both in terms of the party’s work in parliament and in preparation for the next parliamentary and municipal elections – to the OSCE representative.
